The 2018 China integrate circuit industry development seminar themes as “focusing on national major strategies and promoting in-depth integration of industries” and the 21st China integrate circuit manufacturing annual conference were held in Wuxi from September 13 to September 14. Wang Xudong, Chairperson of the China Electronic Information Association, Yang Deren, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xu Juyan, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhou Zixue, Rresident of the council of China Semiconductor Industry Association and Director of SMIC, Director of the Jiangsu Provicnial Committee of Economy and Infomation Technology Xie Zhicheng, Acting Mayor of Wuxi Huang Qin, Deputy Mayor of Wuxi Gao Yaguang, Secretary General of the Wuxi Municipal People’s Government Xu Lixin and experts and leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China attended the activity.


This symposium was hosted by the China Semiconductor Industry Association, undertaken by the China Semiconductor Industry Association Integrated Circuit Branch, the National Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation of Integrated Circuit Sealing Industrial Chain and the Wuxi Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology. And a series of industry "good news" delivered by the conference made the guests feel excited. According to the statistics from the association, the sales revenue of China's integrated circuit industry was 272.65 billion yuan in the first half of 2018, yearly increasing by 23.9%. The sales revenue of the IC wafer manufacturing industry was 73.74 billion yuan, yearly increasing by 29.1%, reflecting the strong development momentum of the IC industry.
