Following the opening of the cargo route to Europe in May this year, within half a year, the second intercontinental cargo route will be stationed at Sunan Shuofang International Airport, the destination of this time - the United States. On October 9, DHL Global Forwarding held a route promotion meeting in Wuxi, and announced that it would cooperate with Sunan Shuofang International Airport to open the “Wuxi-US-Korea-Wuxi” intercontinental cargo route. It is expected to take off at the end of this month.

It is reported that this air route to and from Wuxi and the United States arranges four flights a week, connecting Wuxi and Cincinnati and Chicago respectively. Each flight will be able to carry more than 100 tons of goods. At the same time, the flights of European route will be increased from the end of this month, from 2 flights per week to 3 per week. In addition to the existing Frankfurt-Hahn, Brussels and Oslo will join the ranks of international cities that are "directly connected" to Wuxi.
