Xishan Workstation of the World's Top Scientists was established

Around the goal of creating "a science and innovation industrialization center with global attraction", Xishan is craving for top talents. The World's Top Scientist China Xishan Workstation was unveiled on Feb 25. Professor Edward Moser, who won the Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine in 2014, has been appointed as the Chief Scientist of the station.

 

Professor Moser is a renowned psychologist and neuroscientist. He is currently a foreign member of the US National Academy of Sciences and a member of the Royal Norwegian Academy of Sciences. He won the 2014 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine for the discovery of "GPS in the Brain" -- the cells that make up the brain's positioning system. Speaking of the connection with Xishan, Professor Moser said that his recognition of Xishan's innovation environment and confidence in its innovation development enabled him to establish a workstation here.

 

 

At present, xishan is building a new science and technology city. He will actively provide suggestions on regional science and technology innovation and development, help Xishan to introduce more overseas talents, and build the workstation into a base for attracting and cultivating top international innovation resources. It is understood that Professor Moser was also appointed as a tutor by Jiangsu Tianyi High School.
