On March 26, the opening of Wuxi Branch of Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (referred to as "Xinrui Hospital") and the opening of a large-scale expert clinic were launched. More than 20 clinics of the Shanghai Ruijin Hospital team were fully open, and nearly 100 people from Wuxi and surrounding areas came to the hospital and became the first "experiencers" of the hospital. Huang Qin, Mayor of Wuxi, Yang Weiguo, Party Secretary of Ruijin Hospital, Qu Jieming, Dean of Ruijin Hospital, Liu Xia and Wang Jinjian, municipal leaders of Wuxi, and Zhang Mingkang, Secretary General of the Wuxi Municipal Government, attended the event.

Xinrui Hospital is a non-profit hospital managed by the Xinwu District Government and entrusted by Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in accordance with the standards of tertiary medical institutions. The hospital is located at 197 Zhixian Road, Xinwu District, with a total construction area of 155,500 square meters and a fixed number of beds of 501. At present, the hospital has a total of 29 clinical departments and nearly 500 medical staff. The clinical department heads and executive directors of the hospital are all served by the medical experts and backbones of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital. More high-quality experts will be introduced from Shanghai as the hospital develops and patients' needs grow. It is hoped that through the scientific management and cultivation, the hospital will gradually establish a relatively complete discipline system and talent echelon, complete the development process from "blood transfusion" to "blood production", and better radiate the high-quality medical resources of Shanghai to Wuxi and surrounding areas.
