Wuxi and Bosch Group of Germany welcome cooperation “milestone”

A few days ago, three projects of Bosch China Hydrogen Fuel Cell Center, Bosch China Innovation and Software Development Center and Bosch China Intelligent Network simultaneously settled down in Wuxi. Li Xiaomin, Secretary of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, met a group led by CEO of Bosch Powertrain Solutions, and attended the project signing ceremony.


In September, 2017, Li Xiaomin led Wuxi economic and trade delegation to visit the headquarters of the Bosch Group in Germany, signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation between Xinwu District and Bosch Group, and agreed to develop a comprehensive cooperation in aspects including battery vehicle project, automotive electrification and Internet of Things technology application. Over the past two years, the contents of various agreements have been implemented quickly and comprehensively. Following Bosch's placement of the world's first 48-volt battery industrialization project in Wuxi in 2018, it will build the world’s only fuel battery research and development center outside of Germany in Wuxi. Bosch's first innovation and software development center in mainland China and the China headquarters of the Intelligent Networking Division will also settle down in Wuxi.


Reportedly, the Bosch China Hydrogen Fuel Cell Center project is located in Xinwu District, Wuxi, hammering at researching, developing and trial-manufacturing hydrogen fuel cell powertrain-related products. It is planned to be completed by the end of 2020 and put into production in 2021. The Bosch China Innovation and Software Development Center is located in the Wuxi Economic Development Zone. It is committed to strengthening Bosch's innovation and software development capabilities in China, and developing technology solutions suitable for the Chinese domestic market, including electrification, intelligent network cars, connected solutions and big data platform, which is planned to be completed and put into use in 2020. The Bosch China Intelligent Network Project is located in Xishan District. It is committed to providing solutions of innovative travel services, full life cycle management of smart vehicles and smart city intelligent transportation for the Chinese market. At present, the Nanshan Internet of Vehicles Town has entered a substantial stage of advancement.
