Another IC Project Signed Online to Settle in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District

On August 19, another integrated circuit industry project was signed online to settle in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District. Relevant persons in charge of Wuxi National Hi-Tech District and WONIK QnC Company of Korea signed agreement online. According to the agreement, WONIK QnC Company plans to invest USD 50 million to set up a production base of semiconductor new material parts in Wuxi. Jiang Min, Vice Mayor of Wuxi, Secretary of Party Working Committee of Wuxi National High-tech District and Secretary of CPC Wuxi New District Committee, attended the signing ceremony.


WONIK QnC Company of Korea is a global leader in semiconductor and display quartz materials. The company mainly serves semiconductor manufacturers such as Intel, Samsung and SK Hynix and semiconductor equipment manufacturers such as Lam Research and Tokyo Electron Ltd. After 53 online video and telephone conferences, Wuxi National High-tech District finally promoted the settlement of the project. The overall registered capital of the project is more than USD 50 million, of which the first phase of the registered capital is USD 30 million, the planned land area is about 30 mu (1 mu = 0.06667 hectares), and the construction land of factory is about 24,000 square meters. After the first phase is completed, the sales revenue will be about 200 million yuan, with the annual tax contribution of about 15 million yuan. After the project is settled, it will further expand the "friend circle" of Korean-funded enterprises in Wuxi National High-tech District and make the brand of "Korean-funded sector" famous.
