A few days ago, the Wuxi-South Korea Industrial Chain Exchange and Cooperation Conference themed on "Innovative Integration for a Win-Win Future" was grandly held. Huang Qin, Secretary of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, delivered a keynote speech. Choi Young Sam, General Consul of South Korea in Shanghai, and Yang Weiqun, Deputy Director of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered speeches. Sun Jin, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, leaders of Wuxi Mr. Zhu Aixun, Mr. Lu Zhijian, Ms. Jiang Min and Mr. Zhou Changqing, and Zhang Lijun, Secretary General of the Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, and over 160 merchants from over 90 companies and organizations such as SK Hynix, Samsung, LG Chem, LG Hausys, Shinhan Bank, Wuxi South Korea Chamber of Commerce and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency attended the conference.
At the conference, the Wuxi South Korean Industrial Cooperation Research Report was officially released. Chung Eun Tae, Vice President of SK Hynix Semiconductor (China) Co., Ltd., shared his experience and thoughts on industrial cooperation. Park Hong Kyu, Executive Officer of LG Chem Co., Ltd. and General Manager of LG Chem New Energy (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., was hired as the third "Wuxi International Economic and Technological Consultant" and spoke for Wuxi on the spot. The Wuxi South Korean Enterprise Investment Service Cloud Platform themed on "resource sharing and information exchange" was officially launched. By using big data and intelligent technology, it will integrate investment information resources in the whole city, so as to better display and exchange with South Korean investment companies. Participants also watched a feature film to review the moving moment of fighting against COVID-19 by Wuxi and sister cities in South Korea.
On the same day, 10 advanced manufacturing and modern service industry projects such as the new generation of electronic information materials project of Semtech Corporation, LS Electric ESS China Investment Headquarters Project of South Korea and Barun Semiconductor Package Test Project of South Korea were signed, with a total investment of more than 600 million US dollars.
