- About Wuxi
On November 3, the 2020 Smart Industry Summit Forum was held in Wuxi. As an event of the 2020 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT), this forum themed on “China’s New Infrastructure and New Aerospace Wisdom” attracted 11 academicians and nearly 200 industry representatives to talk about the development of new infrastructure and smart industries. Liu Shiquan, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Group of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, and Huang Qin, Secretary of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, delivered speeches. Xu Yiping, Director of the Standing Committee of the Wuxi Municipal People's Congress, and Li Qiufeng, Vice Mayor of Wuxi, attended the forum.
At the opening ceremony, the IT Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and Xishan District People’s Government, and Dawei ITS and the Wuxi IoT Innovation Promotion Center signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement respectively. They will cooperate with each other in aspects such as smart Xishan District, national-level IoV pioneer zone construction and IoT big data technical breakthrough and application. China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation also released 6 products related to smart industries, including the smart industry application platform 2.0, urban operating system, smart water cube platform, electronic data storage platform, unmanned customs smart inspection vehicle and agricultural meteorological observation system. They will serve and support the development of smart city, smart environmental protection, smart government affairs, smart customs and smart agriculture.
On the same day, Mao Junfa, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chen Jing and Liu Yongcai, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and other experts and scholars respectively made reports on new infrastructure supported by AI, information integration and smart industry development, new demands for regional high-quality development and technological innovation and construction of new technological innovation governance system. All academicians also had a special discussion about the development of smart industry.
