China's two teams remained at the top of their respective groups on June 25, the second day of the 2019 Snooker World Cup.
In the afternoon, China's B team of Liang Wenbo and Zhou Yuelong met an unexpected challenge in Malta's amateur player Brian Cini. The team required a deciding frame before beating Malta 3-2.

The Welsh duo of Mark Williams and Ryan Day shared the first position in group D with China B after beating Australia 4-1.

Group B saw fierce competition, with Hong Kong's team of Andy Lee and Ka Wei Cheung stealing two points from England and Northern Ireland each day. However, Northern Ireland still secured the first position.
Saudi Arabia made history after winning their first ever World Cup match, beating Iran 3-2 in a showdown that can only be described as intense.

England's Jack Lisowski earned himself a victory for his 28th birthday along with his partner Kyren Wilson, after the two defeated the Republic of Ireland 3-2 and occupied second place in the group.
Scotland and Belgium are tied for top spot in group C after a 4-1 defeat of the UAE.
