Over 400 top taekwondo practitioners from 16 countries and regions will compete for seats at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games during the Wuxi 2022 World Taekwondo Grand Slam Champions Series.

The sports event is set to take place at the World Taekwondo (Wuxi) Center in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, from March 30 to April 3, and will include qualification trials from March 30 to 31 and finals from April 2 to 3.
During the finals, the organization committee will invite a performance team from the World Taekwondo Federation to stage a special taekwondo show, which has been performed during the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games.

Launched in 2017, the World Taekwondo Grand Slam Champions Series and Olympic Qualification Tournaments are sponsored by WTF and held in the Wuxi Economic and Development District.
Eight of the 128 quotas for taekwondo competitions at the Summer Olympic Games are decided in Wuxi.
