I came to Wuxi at the end of 2020 and have been working as a yoga teacher at Wuxi Olive Green Fitness Management Co ever since.
In the beginning, I only knew my company friends, but now I have many Chinese friends in Wuxi. They are so friendly and helpful. All of my yoga students are like my family members. They care for me a great deal and teach me about the Chinese language. Now, my Chinese skills have even improved a little. This leaves a big impact on my life in Wuxi, which began because of yoga. For example, travelling around Wuxi using a Chinese map app was a big challenge for me before, but now I know how to use the map and visit the stores of my company quite easily all by myself.

Most people consider yoga to be beneficial for physical health but it is just as impactful to our mental health. With the practice of meditation and yoga, we can control our emotions and increase our level of patience, which helps us to make our minds strong.
My yoga teaching experience in Wuxi has been amazing. The Chinese students here are really hard working. Wuxi is a very peaceful city where life is slow and happy. I recommend that yoga lovers get in a session of refreshing morning outdoor yoga between 5:30-7:00 am in any of the wetland parks in the city. I believe a healthy body and calm mind can help us all live a healthy and happy life, which can, in turn, contribute to a happy society in our city.
