After a flight from Chongqing Zoo, two giant pandas — 8-year-old male Yu Bao and 9-year-old female Jia Yueyue — arrived at Wuxi Zoo in Jiangsu province on April 18 for a five-year stay, bringing a fresh wave of excitement to the city.

Wuxi Zoo meticulously prepared for the arrival of the two furry celebrities. Veterinarians and keepers were sent to Chongqing Zoo in advance to care for the giant pandas, gaining insights into their unique personalities and habits while seeking to establish a sense of trust. Additionally, keepers and veterinarians from Chongqing Zoo accompanied the pandas to Wuxi. They will provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their five-year stay.
The panda house at Wuxi Zoo underwent significant renovations to provide a modern, eco-friendly, and technologically advanced living space for the duo, ensuring they are comfortable.

After a seven-day quarantine period, the giant pandas will officially meet the residents of Wuxi, spreading joy and delight throughout the community.
