Twenty-one private companies from Wuxi have been named to the 2026 China top 500 private enterprises list, released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce on Sept 22.
Two Wuxi firms, Heilan Group and Jiangsu Xin Chang Jiang Group, ranked among the top 100.
The annual survey, now in its 28th edition, covered 6,350 private companies with 2025 revenue of at least 1 billion yuan ($149.25 million). The top 500 reported a combined revenue of 44.93 trillion yuan, averaging 89.85 billion yuan per company, up 4.35 percent year-on-year.
Wuxi had 268 eligible private companies taking part in the survey. The 21 companies on the list underscore the city's private-sector strength, particularly in manufacturing.
Heilan Group, based in Jiangyin, Wuxi, was founded in 1988. It is a diversified enterprise group known for its HLA menswear brand, with businesses spanning apparel, finance and investment, commercial real estate, cultural tourism and new energy.
Jiangsu Xin Chang Jiang Group, also headquartered in Jiangyin, is a large private industrial group. Its operations cover metallurgy, shipbuilding, port logistics, trade, real estate and financial investment.
