The Harper's Bazaar "From China" annual gala is scheduled for Oct 21 at the Xiake Xing theme park in Xiakewan Science City, Jiangyin, a county-level city in Wuxi.
The "Xiake Xing" theme park, a key cultural project of Xiakewan Science City, draws on the legacy of Xu Xiake (1587–1641), a renowned Chinese travel writer and geographer of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), known for his spirit of exploration and pursuit of truth.
The venue combines natural landscapes with cultural experiences and innovative exhibition spaces. Hosting the gala there reflects a shared commitment to exploration, uniting the region's natural and cultural heritage with contemporary fashion aesthetics. It also serves as a platform for intangible cultural heritage to connect with modern design.
Since launching its "From China" special edition in 2019, Harper's Bazaar has continued to highlight Chinese culture through the lens of fashion. This includes a focus on landscapes, traditional textiles, technological innovation, digital art, folk traditions and the integration of intangible cultural heritage with contemporary design.
