A total of 449 Wuxi companies are set to attend the 140th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from Oct 15 to Nov 4, occupying 889 booths to showcase the city's industrial and export strengths.

The fair is scheduled to run in three phases. The first phase will focus on advanced manufacturing, with 224 companies from Wuxi presenting smart robots, new energy storage and power equipment. The second will feature 114 Wuxi companies in the quality home products and light consumer goods sectors. The third will involve the city's 155 companies promoting home textiles, apparel and leisure products.

Many exhibitors are moving beyond price competition toward technology and higher-value products. Excelland Robotics, mainly domestic-focused, sees the fair as a key step into global markets. It will bring its fifth-generation delivery robot and C10 cleaning robot, as well as an MX model with a robotic arm designed to address elevator-control challenges in overseas hotels.

NCVI, a breastfeeding appliance brand, will display a bottle washer with UV sterilization and a double breast pump featuring hands-free pumping, heating massage and AI memory. Zhongheng Dayao will shift from fabrics to finished children's and bedding products, including a Tencel-padded cover for Europe's hot, humid climate.

Kaiao Power Machinery will unveil a vertical-shaft engine that can directly power fishing boats, drilling equipment, and mowers without additional transmission components. It has selected 11 engine samples for buyers in Southeast Asia and Europe.
