These photos were taken in 1972 by Stanford University alumnus William Joseph, who was invited to visit Wuxi, along with other scholars.
The eight square meter Taihu Rice Demonstration Park in Xishan district, Wuxi, is an experimental base of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
