The launch of the Wuxi Cultural and Creative Alliance and the opening ceremony of the "Little Sweet Xi and Friends" themed cultural block took place in Tianshang Cunqian village, Wuxi, on Aug 21.
The opening ceremony honored 36 member units, such as local cultural and creative businesses, designers, and intangible cultural heritage inheritors, with official recognition.
Led by the Wuxi Daily Media Group, the Wuxi Cultural and Creative Alliance aims to unify local cultural and creative resources to promote industrial growth. Focusing on cultural creativity, the alliance wants to turn culture into a key driver for the city's high-quality development.
The "Little Sweet Xi and Friends" cultural block focuses on the mascot "Little Sweet Xi" from Wuxi Release, the official account of the publicity department of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, offering an immersive cultural experience.
The block hosts more than 30 unique stalls that showcase and sell Wuxi's intangible cultural heritage crafts, trendy designs, and more. Plus, there's a special edition of the Wuxi Daily for its 76th anniversary, enabling visitors to create personalized commemorative copies on-site.
Furthermore, an innovative Little Sweet Xi Cultural Exploration Passport has been introduced, linking four main venues such as the Tianshang Cunqian History Museum and Art Museum, along with partner merchants, to create check-in points. Participants can earn stamps by completing tasks at these locations, and those who collect a certain number can exchange them for exclusive cultural and creative gifts.
